CHURCH OF THE CITY
THOUGH WE ARE MANY, WE ARE ONE. . . 1 COR 12:12
With Jesus as our foundation, Diversity is not division and Unity is not conformity.
Church of the City is a concept that has grown out the soil of the unified prayers of denominational churches, para churches, and marketplace ministries of Northeast Los Angeles. Years of prayer by many faithful people over the land of Northeast Los Angeles and almost two years of consecutive monthly prayer unity vigils have brought about the birth of the Church of the City which is now positioned on a world platform in the center of the city of Los Angeles. The unifying vision of Church of the City includes the Tabernacle of David (Worship and Praise with Prayer), the House of Prayer, BLAZE - a vision to harness the talent and energy of youth in high school Bible Clubs, a House of Healing, monthly leadership prayer and fellowship meetings, and many other events bringing the Body of Christ together in unity. (Feb-2007 )
If this vision is similar to what God has put in your heart, let's work together. Please contact us.
Guidelines for Prayer
Call on Him when you are in trouble. And call on Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall honor and glorify Me. Psalm 50:15
We receive what we ask when we obey Him and follow His plan for our lives. And we receive from Him whatever we ask, because we [watchfully] obey His orders [observe His suggestions and injunctions, follow His plan for us] and [habitually] practice what is pleasing to Him. 1 John 3:22

January 2007- BLAZE Building, Leadership, Authority, Zeal, & Empowerment.
BLAZE is a vision for harnessing the talent, drive, and awesome contribution that high school students in Bible Clubs can make to the work of building the Kingdom.
Firmly rooted in prayer, BLAZE creates unity among students within a territorial area. It empowers young people as leaders and encourages them to build genuine and meaningful relationships, foster a spirit of community, serve their fellow students and teachers, and ultimately express the love of Christ through the transformation of schools, neighborhoods and communities. The first BLAZE Unity Event took place in Northeast Los Angeles at Hermon Community Church in December of 2006. This strategy can be applied to Bible clubs in high schools throughout the United States and beyond and provides a structure that can grow quickly, bring together and build community among students from diverse churches, areas, and backgrounds, and significantly transform schools and communities. Any complete life has the three dimensions... -length, breadth, and height. The length of life is the inward drive to achieve ones personal goals and ambitions, an inward concern for one’s own welfare and achievements. The breadth of life is the outward concern for the welfare of others. The height of life is the upward reach for God. Life at its best is a coherent triangle. . .Without the due development of each part of the triangle, no life can be complete.” Martin Luther King
